Hi all:
Has anybody ever experienced having no connection to the internet when using DAP-1522 and DIR-655?
I have just purchased DAP-1522 and successfully configured it to talk wirelessly to DIR-655. I am able to access the web interface of the DIR-655 as well as change stuff in it. Additionally, the web interface of DAP-1522 says that it is connected.
However, I cannot connect to the internet. The DAP-1522 is in bridge mode. The laptop to test the connection is connected to DAP-1522 through wired connection.
When I change the laptop to using wireless connection directly to DIR-655, I am able to connect to the internet without any issue.
Any ideas?
Sincerely,
Peter

Please report all ip information provided via DHCP when hardwired to the 1522.

Sorry for taking a while to reply to your post. I haven't had time to check the forum until last night.
Your post prompted me to check the TCP/IP setting of the laptop that I used to configure the DAP-1522. It turned out it was still using the static IP address that I used to configure the unit. Once I changed it to DHCP, I got internet flowing through the DAP-1522.
The thing that I don't understand is that why it didn't work with static even if the static IP was in the same subnet as the rest of my network. Weird... ;D
Thank you for your request that prompted me to fix the connection.
Sincerely,
Peter

You also need to use static DNS server then if your using static IP.

I tried dynamic addressing and it says it saves the settings but after about 2 mins, it reverts back to static IP. WHen I log into the DIR-655, it shows a completely different IP address than what the DAP unit shows on it's status screen......???
