Title: Use Network Magic or other software?

I have read that Network Magic is now owned by Cisco and d-link does not offer that software with current products. Should I shell out the money to Network Magic or is there another software out there that is better that I should look at? I tried to do some searching and the only other one i found is homenet. I know the network programs isnt needed, but I like the intrusion notification and some of the other features.

Not sure how reliable Network magic is. Discovered recently on this forum my download speed will never go past about 100kbps. Network Magic's scans have my download speed at a little over 800kbps.
