Title: DFL-300 blinking status light
Post by: markanglin on September 24, 2009, 12:07:52 PM
Not sure if this is the right forum for this post but I have a DFL-300 VPN / Firewall that was working perfectly. Then all of a sudden, everyone lost internet connectivity and the VPN tunnel disconnected. The only lights that are on are the power (which is solid) and the status (which is rapidly blinking). I show now lights on the lan, wan or dmz ports even though there are machines connected to all three. I have tried to reset the machine but nothing happens. I cannot log into this machine from web interface either.

It happens, that must be a fairly long in the tooth firewall, I don't think we have sold them for like 4 years.

It was a great box. The only reason I wanted to save it is that we have 2 branch offices that use them and we connect through the VPN.

Now I am trying to get the DFL-210 working... but that is another thread.

Well it sounds like we are close to getting you on-line in that thread so I have hope this will all come out positive in the end.

The DFL-210 is much more powerful than the DFL-300 was, after getting used to it I think you will like it.
