Title: My DWA-130 Does Not Get Into the WEB...HELP!!
Post by: fmcasado on September 27, 2009, 07:14:48 PM
:-[ Hi, I have a very strange problem with my DWA-130 adapter. Verstion 1.0. It connects to the Wireless Router, it gets its IP address, it shows connected to the Web..but I cannot connect surf on the Web. I have done everything possible...I installed the latest driver ver. 1.3 I believe, I rolled back my computer from Windows SP3 to SP2 under the assumption it was SP3 preventing to surf on the Web. I purchased a dedicated USB 2.0 port PCI card and installed it in the computer, after configuring Norton 360 thinking it was the Norton Firewall but it was not I proceeded to stop the Norton Service. I have done everything possible but no luck...Does anybody has any suggestions? They will be deeply appreciated!
Thanks

Most Norton "security" products will need to be told to "trust" your wireless name (aka SSID.)  If not, Norton will "deauthenticate" the network at the router, thus disconnecting the Internet access.
