I've been dealing with D-Link support about this for almost year. None of them have a clue. Does anybody on this forum have any ideas about how to fix the problem? I can connect but after a few minutes the router disconnects and no longer shows up in the list of routers. A minute or so later it comes back on and I can reconnect for another few minutes until it shuts off again.
Nobody at D-link has been able to fix this problem so far.

exact same symptoms that my older DIR-615 was displaying. I RMAed it and it seemed to fix it.

Hi,
As a thought, it sounds like an overheating issue.... I would position the router in vertical orientation.
If its out of warranty already, you might open the unit up and check for a heat sink issue on the wireless chip, or possibly see about installing a heat sink on the wireless chip. I have never opened mine up so I am not even sure if the wireless chip has a heat sink installed...
You might also see about swapping out the power wart for your router....
It may well be that the unit is simply defective.
