Title: DES-1228 FW 1.10.12 (and 1.10.11): No IGMP Snooping?
Post by: cwalexan on September 30, 2009, 12:42:00 PM
I have upgraded my DES-1228 to both 1.10.11 and 1.10.12, but I am not able to enable IGMP Snooping with either of these firmware versions.  I am currently back to running 1.00.19, as it is the latest firmware version in which I can enable IGMP Snooping.

Can anyone else confirm whether they are able to enable IGMP Snooping with either 1.10.11 or 1.10.12?

I sent an inquiry to D-Link, via their on-line help system at the time - this was many months ago.  It eventually bounced back to me after about 5 weeks, which didn't give me much confidence on getting a response - let alone a resolution.

Anyway, any information from other DES-1228 users will be appreciated!

Thanks!

Can't check the box in the interface, or it has no effect, or some third option I didn't list?

Be more verbose about your exact issue and we will see exactly what our issues are.

I didn't have much more information before, and really don't now either, but I'm upgrading to 1.10.12 now to get the detail.  What I recall is that IGMP Snooping would not enable - the web interface was reporting a scripting error (sorry, I could have stated that earlier) or something.

I'll reply with the exact error shortly, after I get it running with 1.10.12...

DES-1228 device support IGMP snooping v1/v2 function, about your question, we think the problem in your Web brower exist Interoperability problem with DES-1228. I suggest you can use IE brower to set IGMP function again or provide your web brower type to us to analyze this problem. Thanks a lot.
