Title: How do I check my DIR-655's connection speed ?
Post by: julyderek on October 01, 2009, 06:28:09 PM
Hi,

To try to monitor the speed of my DIR-655, I downloaded a big file from my laptop (wireless) to my PC (wired connected to the DIR-655).  I have a Meter which measure the speed on different network cards.  The throughput was, on an average 30Mbps.

I have followed everything in the thread which lists what to do for a 300Mbps connection (except my Wireless adapter on my laptop) is a Ralink Wireless N card.

Am I doing something wrong in measuring the throughput ?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Derek

I tried changing the Channel from Auto to Manual and I am getting better.

But the speed keeps fluctuating from 30Mbps to 250Mbps ?
