Title: Admin Screen Slow/Not Loading on DIR-825 (B1 2.02NA)
Post by: mcgiro on October 03, 2009, 08:12:36 AM
I'm having a problem with the admin screen loading very slowly or not at all. I just setup the DIR-825 and everything is working well with respect to the internet and devices accessing the network. Build is B1 Firmware 2.02NA. Setup is a PC, PS3, NAS and laptops on wireless. Most of the settings are default including the router address of 192.168.0.1

Is anyone else having the issue? Suggestions for resolution?

Much appreciated.

Yeah I had this problem. Usually it happens after playing with the settings. Just un-plug and re-plug your router, this will fully reboot it.

If that doesn't work then you can run a ping to your router 192.168.0.1 (default) and see what kind of response times you get it should say <1.

I'm setting-up a PC, and noticed that Firefox 3.5.3 is VERY fast to load DIR-825 admin web-pages, but Internet Explorer 7 is slow.  Delays on some screens of several minutes.  Odd.

I'm using IE 8. I might try Chrome or Firefox to see if there is a difference.

I found the DNS relay and turned that off, but still seems to 'hang' after loading a few configuration pages.

I keep seeing the DNS Relay thing, but nobody has posted where to get at this setting....where?

I had same problem with slow loading admin pages while using IE8.  Tried Firefox and it zipped along just fine.  Problem solved I guess.
