It seams that the Hitachi and Seagate both work in the DNS 323 as long as they are not inserted together. If I insert them both, the DNS 323 starts to boot and then just shuts down. If I put either drive in with a WD 500 GB drive, the DNS 323 boots.
Any ideas? Firmware 1.07

Can you give more information like model #'s, does it matter which bay they are in etc. As much information as possible so we can see if we have the resources to reproduce the issue.

Thanks for the help. It is a Seagate ST31500341AS and a Hitachi HDT721010SLA360. It does not matter what bay it is in. Both are formatted as well by the DNS. It shuts off right when the drives spin up.
Should I try the new beta 1.08 firmware?

I figured out a way to get this working .... Power on the DNS with the Seagate ... Put in the Hitachi, then log in to the DNS and restart it.
Then both drives are seen.
Still, I can not power both on at once.

You are more than welcome to try the 1.08 beta and if it fixes your issue then atleast you know it will be in the next release :).

Tried, 1.08 .. Same issue :(

Try removing all drives and boot up then reset the unit to factory defaults then power it down again and insert the two drives and boot up again.
