Has anyone had and resolved issues with SIP/VIOP call quality with the Dlink DIR-655?
I am able to make and receive calls just fine, the only issue is the call quantity is garbled, and out of sequence.
When I swap back in my old router, the quality is fine.
If anyone has any tips, I'm all ears!
(My phone device is a Linksys SPA-3102 - phone service is callcentric - uses standard SIP for the calls - non proprietary.)

bump.
anyone?
is it worth calling dlink support for?

I have used a DIR 655 for over a year with no VoIP issues. Having worked for a VoIP startup, I have used this router successfully with numerous SIP termination providers (when running a local side B2BUA or Proxy), as well as with several different local SIP devices registered to various SIP providers and systems (Asterisk, SER, various SIP providers) -- other than the normal and infrequent transient issues related to BW exhaust, have had no issues. I used one Cisco 72XX phone (registered to a remote proxy in our data center) nearly daily for months with no issues. Also used this setup with Skype, Google Voice, etc with no issues.
You may just have a bad unit or the Firmware is different than what I am using. What Firmware are you on?

Firmware is 1.21 - I didn't upgrade due to issues reported by others here.
I don't know much about the sip protocol -perhaps there is something I Can do to the ATA to make it more optimal. That said, there has got to be something happening with this router that didn't happen with the old Netgear.
Are there any non-standard settings you might have used, (or for that matter, could there be any settings I have set that would cause this?)
