Title: What Video Encoder to use?

I have a DSM-510 and wanting to know what video Encoder you all recommend...I have a lot of video files that I have that I'd like to re-encode to a format that the 510 native support.  I know I can used Tversity but I'd like to limit the transcoding that it will do.
