Title: DNS-323 enclosure reports corrupted files BUT they are not!

I started to notice that quite a few of my camera pictures did not appear with a thumbnail. Trying to open them resulted in an error message that the file was corrupt or missing. Trying to copy the file also resulted in an error. Other file types were also affected. When I removed the drives from the DNS-323 and mounted it in my PC all the files were perfectly fine. Does this mean the enclosure is toast? I plan to reflash the firmware (1.06) and format the drives but before I do, do any gurus have any good advice? If I reflash do I need to "reset to defaults" as well?

I think I'd certainly reset to factory defaults as part of the process, can't hurt.

Yes but I tried two different machines with the same result.

Not yet. but I will try. So you suspect something is wrong with my wireless router?

Not necessarily with the router itself, but with the wireless network.

Wireless networks are ****e to interference from myriad sources - other wireless networks, cordless phones, baby monitors, surveillance cameras, game console remotes, microwave ovens, etc. and what should happen is that data packets corrupted by the interference are retransmitted, but it is possible for some to go undetected.

I am skeptical of the 2.4GHz interference. The reason is that the same file on two differnt PCs are seen as being corrupted. I just tested the ethernet connection with the same result. Time for a reset. I'll check in later with an update.

Update: Well a "reset to defaults" fixed it. I was also having printer issues so hopefully I killed 2 birds tonight. I also got that bloody hibernation working now.
