Hello every body,
does someone knows on what port the upnp av on the dir-685 works. I have to forward the WAN to it.
Thanks for reply.
-
i don't think there is a port needed. Just you need to have hdd inside to start this function working.
-
thanks for reply but the upnp av works on the same network and i want it to works behind the router, so i have to redirect the port number.

Even though this is posted in a strange section....upnp is not capable of traversing from LAN to WAN. It is not possible to forward UPNP through the WAN.
All UPNP activitity must remain on the LAN side which requires no port openings in the router.

Hello,
Sorry for my post in this section, i didn't know where to post it, I have not found a DIR-685 section.
I want to route upnp av to WAN side because it is not realy a WAN side, it is on a different network where I have a FreeBox (a french TVBox) and I want my box to read upnp av stream.
The box send/receive packets to/from DIR-685 's IP and these packets must go to the upnp av server on the right port. The trafic must know the destination.
I read that upnp av server brodcast on 239.255.255.250 is the dir-685 can forward such type of adress ?
So my question stays the same : what is the upnp av port on the DIR-685 ?
thanks for your time

What you are looking for is not possible and is not the intention of UPNP. If broadcasting upnp through a wan was possible, many ISP's would be having issues with the amount of network traffic.
How is your FreeBox connected? Are you running two networks? Why can't you turn off he DHCP server on the DIR-685 and plug one of the LAN side cables into your FreeBox network. This will put all components behind DIR-685 on same network as your FreeBox.
Besides what I have mentioned above, what you want is not possible.

thaks for reply
I don't want to put the Freebox on the LAN side because I want to use DIR-685 firewall to filter trafffic from the Freebox.
My network is like this : WAN-->Freebox-->DIR-685-->LAN
I give up the idea as you said it is impossible

Static the DIR-685 to an IP address withing you network range, disable the DHCP server and don't use the WAN port.

Bonjour,
