Title: Any Tips for Optimizing Streaming Live TV to an X360
Post by: Odd Dust on October 13, 2009, 01:14:54 PM
I have a PC (Pentium 4 2.1GHz with 1GB RAM, Hauppauge PVR 250) running Windows MCE 2005.

The media centre PC is connected to a DIR-825 via DWA-160 USB Adapter over Wireless N.

I have an X360 with the MS X360 Wireless Adapter (which I don't have any problems connecting to the DIR-825) over Wireless A.

These are actually in the same room so the signal strength's are very strong.

When I try and watch Live TV - standard def analog signal (or recorded TV) via the X360 (used as a MCE Extender) the TV signal stutters as if it can't be streamed quick enough.  The stuttering doesn't occur if watched directly on the PC.  Is there something I need to do with the DIR-825 to optimize it for streaming video.  The router and adapter are meant to be able to handle streaming HD but I can't even get it to handle standard def.  Any suggestions on configs to set or how to check what the throughput is I'm getting?
