Hello. I am currently running 10 cameras on a small business network. One camera in particular I am trying to establish a motion sensed recording 24 hours a day. If I go into the scheduler, enable 24 hour recording, and check economic recording, the camera instantly starts recording. There is absolutely no motion or movement in the area, it is a very static shot (door entry way). I have tried adjusting the motion detection sensitivity and frequency from 1 all the way to 50 with the same results. Any help is appreciated. I basically only want it to recording when people are walking in front of it. Thank you.
Camera is a DCS-920

As a side note I have also tried creating an event action saying "imagemotiondetected, start recording" but regardless of settings nothing ever gets recorded. The event status icon/graphic for the camera is always blinking red regardless of any movement or not and no videos are recorded.

Economic recording will appear as if it is recording 24/7 to preserve hard drive space it will show a still frame unless motion is detected then record live video. When you playback it should look as if it is a continuous recording of the hour.
Event recording for motion detection seems as if it is what you are looking for. On an event of motion detection it will begin to record a clip. The flashing red event indicator will go off in a event and not turn off until the app is closed. The event log at the bottom is what you should be watching.

Interesting, the event recording is running, but nothing is ever recorded and there is no log information in regards to the motion dectection event(s).

Make sure motion detection is properly configured and it setup with proper setting to actually trigger motion. Try playing with the sensitivity and frequency settings.
