Hello Guys,
I just got WD TV so decided to test Upnp..
When i Enable the Upnp server and set an folder in Volume_2, i see my DNS-323 has 100% cpu.
using TOP command i see
2728 2727 root R 1200 2% 99% inotify_upnp
why this process take such high cpu ?
My DNS has Firmware Version: 1.07.
Thanks

The unit it indexing the media files located in the folder set for the UPnP AV media server. Try running the refresh and see if it will complete successfully.

I am currently only sharing 12 or so files through upnp and have also noticed this issue. Even after refreshing upnp (which completes successfully).

i have just one test video file.. still CPU is 99% for hours...even after refresh
is it because the set folder option doesn't work and it scan full disk ?
Today i will test it for 24 hours and check..thx

Just started the upnp and itune servers... Refresh just take few seconds because of one test file..
5917 5916 root R 1200 2% 50% inotify_itune
5859 5858 root R 1200 2% 49% inotify_upnp
CPU is always 100% (combine) ...
let me keep it running for a day and check...
Thanks

I used to see this in the production firmware, but haven't seen it since I upgraded to 1.08b05.

The next official firmware release should have this issue resolved it seems to be fine in the beta code.
