I just purchased a DIR-655 and upgraded the firmware too 1.32NA and the hardware version is A4. Here is my problem, whenever I use Outlook 2003 to send/receive mail and there are messages with attachments the router performs a reboot. And sometimes even without using Outlook it will reboot for no reason.
Also there tons of UDP messages being blocked in the logs.
Blocked incoming UDP packet from 24.127.172.225:12735.
I have a Cable Modem: Motorola SB51000 with 10mb access
I just got rid of a LinkSys and bought this router, don't tell me I made the wrong choice, can anyone offer some suggestion on how to stop the reboots

You should have looked here first, Sorry to tell you...you made the wrong choice upgrading the Firmware.

Yep, DLink released a faulty firmware back in July, and have yet to fix it. One can only hope that the incredible time that's elapsed since then means a fixed firmware is near...
-
Has anyone tried complaining, maybe try to get a beta version of the next release. Or am i living in a wonder land

Is it possible to downgrade or will that make it worse?
-
You can not go back on Firmware, you are stuck like the rest of us.

If you just purchased the router, you can always take it back to the store and tell them it is defective. Get an exchange and stay with the older firmware until DLink fixes the issue.
I will say the following post from another member cleared up my router reboots. Mine has been up for approx 20 days without a reboot:

I applied most of those updates and I haven't had to reboot or had a lockup in at least 2 weeks. Thanks!
