Hi all,
I currently have a DES-1228P with two 3140AP access points. This all works fine (internet, shares range etc).
These 3 devices are on a subnet : 192.168.10.x /24
the computer I want to use to run Dlink Smart WLAN Manager from is on 192.168.0.230 /24 (a different subnet)
I'm pretty sure I could find this info in the user guide, but the download seems to crap out for some reason :(
Anyways, is there a way to get the DLink WLAN Manager to work via another subnet?
Keep in mind, I control all these networks; if all i have to do is open up and redirect certain ports, it's not a problem.
thanks for your help in advance!!

If you have a routed path between subnets, and appropriate gateways on all machines it should not be an issue. The communication here is SNMP.

Well, as for routed paths....the setup is as follows:
modem---W_-subnet A-_L----W_-subnet B-_L----
So, my computer is in subnet A, on the LAN side (L)
my dlink equiment is in subnet B on the LAN side (L)
basically, it's modem-router-router, I'm on the LAN side of one router, and the dlink is on the LAN of the 2nd router.
I just need to know which ports to punch through.
thanks!

Do the routers have routes for each others LANs?
