Hey Now,
Kind of curious why it is taking so long to fix this lockup problem. Any firmware that is going to be released soon to assist us having this problem so we dont have to reboot the router every 3 days? Thanks

Perhaps this answers some of your wonderings. Found it in DGL-4500 subforum:
Shareport is another issue we are also aware and working to get fixed. Once we get all the bits and pieces together from each issue resolved, we should be able to combine all the fixes across the board with all the routers.

Yes, The DGL-4500 and the 855 are pretty much the same except the 855 is dual band concurrent. Once the 4500 beta firmware is confirmed to be solid and stable the 855 will follow suit.

That's great news (if the 4500 third phase firmware seems to be solid).

If this had of come out months ago, I would have been happy to here it, but now, given how long it has been going on for, I am just so over this debacle and the way it has been handled that I can't see any reason to have hope from this post.
Well done guys. </sarcasm>

Hey everyone,
I too was having the all too frequent "lock ups" which required a reboot to get back up and running. I disabled DNS relay (under network settings) and I have not had a lock up since. I can't give an exact time frame but I would say its been up for about 6-8 weeks now without any problems. If you have not tried this solution (mentioned in a few other threads), give it a shot. Oh, I'm running FW 1.21NA.
