Title: Port forwarding and application rules cannot save - Firmware 1.21
Post by: P01arBear on October 22, 2009, 08:41:31 AM
Hi people,

I've seen other threads about this problem but they were for firmware 1.3x and I don't want to mix up the infos.

So, the problem is like said in the title - Port forwarding and application rules won't stick. Even after saving and rebooting the router, they just will disapear. For some reason, this only happens with these two panels; Qos and virtual server can save with no problem.

I used to be on firmware 1.22 that no longuer exists wich I first had the problem with. So then I tryed flashing it by downgrading to a more stable firmware wich is 1.21.

The problem is still there EVEN after making a clean downgrade to stable 1.21 and bringing it back to factory default settings.

Any ideas?

I've been doing a bit of research on the forum, found out the answer.

For anyone who might have the same question; The problem comes from securespot.

If you enable it, then you will be able to save your settings. I can't explain it, but it works and has worked for others with the same problem.

Now I'm just wondering if I upgraded to a firmware like 1.21 or 1.22b with no securespot if it would work better. I'm looking for 1.22b05 with no securespot if someone would have it.
