How come in the DGL-4500 firmware, it reboots everytime I change a setting? The DGL-4300 didn't do that, is it just because of this new N-draft? Everytime I change a setting I have to reboot the router and wait for the router to redetect my speed, etc, etc. It gets quite annoying =/

Very annoying indeed. I assume it's because of the lack of memory in the router.

so the hardware on the DGL-4500 is actually a step back from the DGL-4300??? ???
And how come, some functions of the router seem like such a huge step back? The DGL-4300 allowed MAC filtering to only be done on wireless clients or only wired or both.

It has nothing to do with memory. It reboots when connection specific information is required to be refreshed.
