Title: Conecting wirelessly to an existing wireless network

Hi,

I know the easiest solution is to run a wire to the router, but i was hoping some one could help me with this.
Is it possible to connect my DIR-655 to my existing wireless network without running a cable? I need ethernet ports where I have the DIR 655 so please help:D thanks.

Nizman11 & dax.. I just added Dlink's DAP-1522 wireless bridge to a 655. It gives you 4 gigabit ports and N connectivity. The DAP-1522 can clone the wireless setting via WPS.. Had it up an running in 20 minutes.. eman

Hi,

First you need to know the wireless network's SSID, so you can connect to the correct network and not your neighbor's.

Then using windows (typically) or the native utility included with your wireless adapter, connect to your wireless network.

If you have wireless encryption setup thru the router (or access point) you should be prompted for the encryption key....enter it from your keyboard and press OK or enter.

All of this is predicated on the assumption that you have installed the wireless adapter hardware correctly in the first place.
