this new firmware is even worse than the out-of-the-box 2.01EU one from early june. active long-duration tcp connections like IMAP or IRC get disconnected after exact(!!) 500 seconds, regardless of being connected via lan or wifi.
in addition to that, the new firmware build also shows the same symptoms as the old one: after a supposedly random usage time of 1 to 24hr, the 825 wifi begins dropping tcp packets, resulting in up to 90% (!!) packet loss. only a reconnect immediatelly but only temporarily "fixes" the problem.
my dir-825 experience so far is one huge disappointment.

downgraded back to b15, the 500-sec-disconnects are gone.
the service breakup after some hours still there, not surprisingly.

i hawe too problem with this FW:
after upgrade FW descinected me from ICQ ewery 2.5 minutes ;(
-
also Skype calls are being shutdown after 3-5 minutes calling.
I went back to 2.01EUb15

With 2.00EU I have issues with Wireless where i cannot get a DHCP address over wifi even though wired works fine. Sometimes a Windows device 'repair' works otherwise I need to reboot the DIR-825 to get a connection.
With 2.01EU Wifi works fine but SIP does not work. I registers but I cannot make calls. I understand that this is due to a known issue in the SIP ALG.
With 2.01EU October Beta, Wifi and SIP both work fine, but stateful connections drop after about 5 minutes. e.g. My XBox360 gives a message 'Disconnected form messager' after 5 mins or so, I used never get this message. This also causes IMAP errors.
So any more releases planned? I'm waiting impatiently for 2.02 which will hopefully fix all my issues.

I have the same problems with latest b17 firmware.
I now notice i posted it in wrong forum, here is link.

Since this firmware my router gets loads of this message and is giving me mostly disconnects on IRC/BNC and some regular internet. (disconnects seems to happen around every 8 á 9 minutes here)
Back to stock firmware (DIR825B1_FW201EUB12.bin) i guess.

I have experienced the same behavior with Xfire, Office communicator 2007 & MSN messenger.
Occasional disconnects, verry annoying.
Went back to the original firmware: no problems with disconnects anymore.

b15 seems to be the best bet at this point.
Can anyone point me to a copy?
thanks

B15 can be found here (http://ftp://lizzi555.dyndns.org/Download/WLAN/DLINK/DIR/DIR-825/Firmware/old/DIR-825_fw_revb_201EUb15_ALL_multi_20090612.zip).

Thanks. I noticed in your sig you indicate a WW beta. I've seen this mentioned also in another thread where it was called a WorldWide FW. I found DIR-825B1_FW201WWB06Beta01 on the Singapore FTP site. Do you - others - recommend these releases? I imagine the only reason for having different NA and EU releases is because of the difference in channels allocated in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands.
