Title: 1.32NA Build 09 bricked my DIR-655
Post by: lcleeton on November 17, 2009, 11:37:31 AM
Since I've been having to power cycle the unit every few days with 1.32NA, I decided to try the new beta.

I followed this process with my DIR-655 running 1.32NA (released, not beta):
1. reset to factory
2. waited for web interface to respond
3. power cycle
4. updated firmware to build 09
5. waited for web interface to respond
6. reset to factory
7. waited for web interface to respond
8. configured some network settings and "saved"
9. unit no longer responds

I've power cycled now many times.   I've tried resetting to factory after power on.  The unit powers on, flashes the LEDs and then only the power LED remains on.  The switch ports will negotiate and get link but no DHCP.

This unit is out of warranty.   Is there anything I can do now?

Did you try the reset button on the back?

Yes.   That's how I did "reset to factory" in the steps I described.

Flashed over wired connection?

There was no reason to powercycle after resetting to defaults as this is basically the same thing.

Router may have been not completely ready when you flashed.

If you can get into the interface I would flash again.
