I've had the DIR-825 for a little more than a month now, and this is the only issue I have found that is actually an "ISSUE" for me. The bloody thing won't keep time. I have to set the time about once every 3 days... I have tried the NTP servers, I have tried doing it from my system time... nothing works.
My version stuff is below
Hardware Version: B1 Firmware Version: 2.02NA

Have you tried the selected time server outside of the router?
Sometimes some servers are not available without a lot of hops. I use the same times server as I use for my OS clock. I use windows XP and run ntp.cs.mu.OZ.AU as the server. The beauty of using the same server is that I can hit UPDATE now and verify that the server is up and usable.
Hope that helps

What I did to get it to keep time was first manually set the date and click copy computer time settings then immediately click save.
Then check the ‘Enable NTP Server’
and I selected ntp1.dlink.com
Then click save again.
And the time has been exact on mine.

I have found this one to be very responsive and available.
nist1-ny.ustiming.org

I have found that for personal use, pool.ntp.org works very well.
If you are running a business, then setting up NTP on 1 or 2 servers and then using TRUE stratum 1 or 2 time servers close to you will help keep very accurate time.
NTP is a cool little challenge if you want to have super accurate time with redundancies built in.
