Do you know how to setup the FTP on DIR 655 router? Here is what I have done so far
1. Set port forwarding
2. In NAT Endpoint Filtering , set TCP Endpoint Filtering to Endpoint Independent\
3. Disable SPI
So far, I still have problem with this router. The FTP works fine on NetGear and Linksys routers but not DIR-655. Please help me.
Thx in advance

You might get better results using the virtual server option in advanced section and setting the DNS-321 as an FTP server. Also, have you reserved an address ok for the DNS-321? Sorry if this seems a bit patronising - just checking in case it all works and then fails on reboot for you ;)
I have a DNS-323 and it's been quite a while since I setup the FTP, but at the time I seem to remember the issue was more with the NAS than the router.
EDIT: Just realised I'm assuming from your username that you are doing this for your NAS, so I may have got that wrong ;)

FTP is often problematic with NAT. By memory, you need to use PASV mode, and forward TWO ports.
That may not be exactly right, but its close. Look up how to configure NAT for FTP and FTP for NAT in general and you should have your answer.

FTP works fine for me without any forwarding of ports.

How did you do that? Could you provide me the instructions where to enable/disable services on the DIR 655 to make it work? thx,

Like I said before my DNS-321 worked just fine with NetGear and Linksys until I upgraded to DIR655. Setting FTP on DIR655 is not straight forward like the other 2 routers. Could you provide me the instruction where on DIR 655 to enable/disable services and others if any? thx,

Are you just trying to download from FTP or run a server?
I have no problems but I am just downloading.
All router setting on on default.
What FTP program is this?

I'm trying to do FTP to my server (DNS-321). I did try the router default settings but did not work. The program I use to ftp are from browser and Core FTP lite.

Did you try what I suggested and delete the port forwarding replacing with virtual server? (And making sure the 321 is always on the same IP - which you probably already have done)
