I've just installed a Dlink DIR-130 connected to five computers. First is a Sun, second is a Windows PC, third is an Intel computer board running VxWorks OS, the last two are SBCs running VxWorks. All connected via the LAN ports; all on the same subnet.
All five boot nearly simultaneously. # 3 computer boots via bootp from the Sun (# 1). The Intel PC connects via a Linksys 10 base T NIC on the ISA bus.
The problem is that the Intel won't boot via bootp. If I install a 10Mb hub between the Sun (# 1) and the Linksys NIC, the Intel (# 3) boots faultlessly. When connected directly via the DIR-130, no boot.
What is causing the Dlink to not connect to # 3?
Thanks in anticipation.

Does the #3 PC support autonegotiation?
Once booted, can the #3 PC be moved to the DIR-130 successfully?
If so what kind of link is established?
