HI
I am in market for a new DIR-655.
An ebay seller emailed me that I could choose either a A4 or B1 version.
I can find very little info/comments about the DIR-655 Ver B1.
So, what is the skinny in regards to REV B ?
I found these links :

thanks

Just some different PCB design, no real major changes AFAIK. The B1 has been around for about a year in Asia.

so... if you had option to buy a new DIR-655 ...
which version would a savvy purchaser choose A4 or B1 ?
thanks

The reports on B1 are not really different from A4. If you could you may try to get an A2. But these are scarce.

What do you like about the A2 version that changed in later revisions? The radio, etc.?

I would recommend the Rev A model.
There is nowhere new firmware for the Rev B on the official D-Link servers.
So Rev B1 seems to be a project based product, perhaps for some special providers.
In these cases D-Link will deliver new firmware only to these providers.
It is not sure, that a Rev B will accept "normal" firmware even if it has the same pcb as a Rev A3 or A4.

The A2 switch part is somewhat better in my opinion (subjective). They changed the type/brand in A3/A4.
