Title: Solution for DIR-855 wireless lockups ... (the clients)
Post by: DSM-510 Denmark on December 11, 2009, 02:06:48 AM
Hello there ...

I have just recived my second DIR-855 - because the first one did a wireless lockup.

This one is doing the same!!!  :-[

Not so nice when you are streaming music or video from the Internet. (or your own network)  :'(

I called D-link support in Denmark ... they told med to un-chek the QOS in the router ... and viola!

No more lockup!!!  ;D

In your DIR-855 Router: You go to ADVANCE, QOS ENGINE, remove the checkmark in "Enable QoS Engine"

I also un-cheked: "Enable Traffic Shaping"

Right now 5 PCs are streaming video and music from the internet ....

Smoothly!!!  8)

Kind Regards
Pierre

I want to know when you say wireless lockup if you also mean WAN lockup. Cause in my case the LAN works fine, but internet connectivity stops completely.
