i really like this router a lot. my dgl 4300 crapped out last weekend, and i didn't have another option except to buy a new one. i went with dlink again because i'm familiar with a lot of their stuff. however, using firmware version 1.31 at the moment, i'm experiencing one minor issue.(that i can see) every now then, for just a second or two, my computer connection drops out for a bit. my ps3 and 360 do not. just trying to figure if it's firmware issue or not

As you're already on 1.31, the only choice is to try the newest beta, which people reporting made their router usable again.

I'm currently using ver 1.21. So far, it works without flaws for 3 weeks. If it doesn't break, then don't fix it. If you upgrade to 1.3?, you will not be able to rollback it back.

I am also using version 1.21. I have had the router hooked up for approx. 3 months now with no problems. Using a Dell laptop with the wireless G. I will not update to a newer version since there seems to be a lot of problems. Maybe I am just lucky enough to not have a defective unit.

wait so, even if i reset to factory defaults, i will still have the same firmware?

Yeah, that's about it. Only you get a clean, unconfigured setup. Firmware only changes when flashed and once it is done, it 's definitive. Until flashed again with another version (sometimes a rollback to previous versions is not possible due to changes in the kernel ('heart') of the system)

Well....I have the latest 132NA beta and router has been online non-stop without issue since I flashed which was almost two months ago now.
