Title: Aspect Ratio

I have a 46" magnovox LCD HD-TV w/ all connections except VGA or DVI. Since upgrading my DSM-520 to firmware 1.05, if I go through setup, using any type of connection on the tv, and change the  aspect ratio to 4:3 on the DSM-520, the resulting image on the tv is 16:9 (wide screen.)  The opposite is true, if 16:9 is chosen as the aspect ratio on the DSM-520, then the resulting image on the tv is 4:3 (letterbox.) Is anyone else experiencing this issue after upgrade?

No. My DSM-520 aspect ratio works fine with the latest firmware on a Sony 50" wide screen TV. Are you sure your TV is not scaling the screen using Zoom or something like that?

tv is set to widescreen. hd-dvd works fine in widescreen, playstion works fine in widescreen. i said if 16:9 is selected on the dsm-520, then the tv shows 4:3. if 4:3 is selected on the dsm-520, then the tv shows 16:9. so clearly this REVERSE issue wasnt there BEFORE the update and now it is there. bringing back to bestbuy.
