Title: Accessing the DNS-323 from Work?
Post by: Chico on December 17, 2009, 11:43:09 AM
Been reading here for a while but couldn't really find out if we can access the DNS-323 trough IE from different locations and how to set it up that you could.

Or is the only solution trough something like FileZilla?

Thank you.

Well, you can use the FTP through IE, but there is no HTTP access to the filesystem if that's what you're asking.

Thank you gunrunnerjohn for trying to help me here.

I don't quite understand though. What do you mean by "there is no HTTP access"?

What I'd like to do is while I'm at work I would like to be able to get some files of the unit.
I'm behind a DIR-625 Router.

Like I said, FTP.  However, you can FTP from IE using the format:  ftp://<IP_address>

This only works if you are not using secure FTP for the access.
