I currently have the following network setup (---- = Ethernet, ~~~ = wireless):
|cable modem|----|WBR-1310 11g router|----|DGS-1005D Gb switch|---- |DGE-530T in desktop PC|
~ |
|11g laptop| ~ ~ ~ |----|DNS-321-NAS|
I need to move the desktop PC to another location from which I will be unable to connect directly (Ethernet or powerline) to the switch. I'm wondering if the following configurations are possible using two DAP-1522 access points:
|cable modem|----|WBR-1310 11g router|----|DAP-1522| ~~~~ |DAP-1522|---- |DGE-530T in desktop PC|
~ |
|11g laptop| ~ ~ ~ |----|DNS-321-NAS|
OR
|cable modem|----|WBR-1310 11g router|----|DAP-1522| ~~~~ |DAP-1522|---- |DGE-530T in desktop PC|
~ |
|11g laptop| ~ ~ ~ |----|DNS-321-NAS|
I realize that I could replace the DGE-530T in the PC with a wireless adapter, but I thought using another access point would provide flexibility for the location of the NAS.
Any comments / advice on this would be appreciated.

Both configurations are possible using one DAP as AP and the other as bridge.
If you want faster access between desktop and NAS, the second is the better one because both devices are directly connected through the gigabit switch of the DAP.
