Title: Windows Media Player
Post by: kz3l8z on December 20, 2009, 02:29:43 PM
Two problems I'm hoping to find solutions two.

#1 - One PC on my network as a large library of music in Windows media player (Vista home with WMP 11).  I can connect to WPM and it shows the library and will start playing but eventually it will lose connection and stop playing - Haven't been able to determine a specific song or scenario it does this on.

#2 - I have a second PC (Vista and WMP 11 also) with a library.  Sharing is on and the DMS-520 sees it but it is only recognizing about 8 songs as available out of the hundreds on the PM.

Any suggestions?

For item 2...I'm not sure how often WMP refreshes the items in the shared directory.  I believe you can do a refresh manually.

For item 1...check to see what your lease time is on your router.

Have you had any similar issues with the D-Link Media server application and is the DSM-520 wireless?
