I recently upgraded the firmware on my box.
It has worked (nearly) flawlesssly for years (since it was released, actually).
But now?
I downloaded the latest firmware for Europe (Firmware Version : 1.30EU, 2009/07/09 ) and since then, I've had nothing but problems.
Searching the net I find numerous users with similar problems - but alas - no D-link help?
Or is it just me?
Have D-Link acknowledged the problem? And have they issued any help/fix for this killer firmware?
Just for the record: Like numerous other users I am experiencing unstability, and degradation of performance requireing daily (at least) reboots to get wifi connectivity back.
And if you still are wondering;: Yes, I am really pissed at D-Link for robbing me of a well-functioning router and giving me this piece of crap without a warning.

Try 1.32

Thanks, EddieZ, but I cannot see this version for EU(rope).
Latest firmware announced is Firmware 1.30EUb08 (09/11/2009)
Can I use 1.32 from US server without wrecking it even more?

Yep, no problem whatsoever. Using it for years myself.

Eddie : I have 2 655's, running 1.20, are you saying we should make the leap to 1.32 ?
Thanks for your thoughts ! Always appreciated.

If your routers are running in a manner that you like there isn't any reason you HAVE to flash to a newer firmware. I haven't had any issues with any of the firmwares on my A2, but there is no guarantee that you will not have issues. Just remember if you go to the 1.32 you can NOT go back to the 1.20.
