Title: Is there a 64bit version of DView?
Post by: North64 on December 22, 2009, 09:18:51 AM
I have been having no luck in getting the Dview to work with my 64 bit Windows 7.  Have any of you been able to get it working with 64 bit windows 7?  Is there any other products available that I can buy for recording?

Thanks

Not natively.  However, I have it working within the "Windows XP Mode" virtual machine within Windows 7.  I had to install the .NET framework within the virtual machine first to get it to successfully install.  If you're not familiar with Windows XP mode, go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx

You don't have to be super-technical to get it to work.

Thanks Mike.  I do have Windows 7 Pro, which supports virtual mode.  My CPU is an AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core, which does not support Hardware Virtualization.  May be it is time to upgrade to an i7.

But keep your screen-resolution in mind. On my machines Playback.exe balks at screen-resolutions above 1280x1024...
