Title: Assign a static IP addy only for my wireless printer
Post by: xssiveness on December 25, 2009, 03:15:49 AM
My HP printer gets assigned a different address from time to time -probably due to power outages.  How do I assign it a static IP in my DIR-655 while maintaining dynamic assignments for all else?

Log into your router.
-Go to setup, network settings.
-In the bottom part of this screen your will see what IP address is assigned to your printer (make sure it is on-line when you do this)
- Click "reserve" and finally click "save" in the "add reservation" section.
- Now you're done.
Every time your printer comes on-line your router will assign this IP address and all others stay free.
