Which antenna is best

I understand that the DIR-628 has removable attennas (reverse SMA external connection).
First, can these be removed?
and Second, any recommendations on which antenna to use?
I am on a small farm and would like to have wireless available over a 300 metre radius.
Anyone use this router for this purpose?
