I just made a post about the 1.20EUb02 release, http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=9447.0 , the long awaited 1.2x release in the EU region. But ever since the 1.13EU release, I've been having the same wan lockups and slowdowns, the 1.21NAb07 version fixes. Luckaly, the 1.13EU version allowed me to downgrade to 1.12EU and get rid of the lockups and slowdowns. But reading up on the problems people were having with the 1.20/1.21 versions before the 1.21b07, those problems are exactly the same as with the 1.13EU firmware. I expect that the WAN lockups caused by the 1.13EU and the 1.20/1.21NA versions were caused by the same (faulty) codebase.

Can a developer maybe tell me if the 1.20EUb02 release is based on the same codebase as the 1.21NAb07 release? Cause with the speed the EU is getting firmwares, if I end up going with the 1.20EUb02 firmware with the same problems as the 1.13EU/1.20NA/1.21NA (before b07), namely the WAN lockups and slowdowns, I'm gonna be in big trouble, cause I can't downgrade anymore from a 1.20EU version to my working 1.12EUb19 version.

I don't expect the 1.20EUb02 codebase to be based on the working ubicom 1.21NAb07 codebase, but I hope a dev can confirm this, so I and others can wait until a EU firmware is released which is on par with the 1.21NAb07 codebase. Preventing a lot of EU users the WAN lockups and slowdowns.

Hi,

you are still able to downgrade from the 1.20b02EU or 1.20b04WW firmwares.
They are using older shareport 1.15 and a different MAC version.

I had no success to install this firmware on my Rev A2 with 1.21b07NA. Seems D-Link keeps on developing two different lines.

Edit: corrected some words

Hi lizzi555,

Could you maybe post your routers checklist of version 1.21NAb07, http://192.168.0.1/chklst.txt (with 192.168.0.1 being your router address). It has the internal ipVersion, ipOS SDK and shareport version numbering in it. I'll also post mine for comparison as soon as I get home. I just hope they fixed the WAN lockups/slowdowns which have been in the 1.13EU release even longer than in the 1.2x releases. I doubt it though, seeing the releasedate in the version history of the 1.20EUb02 and the absence of the wan lockup/slowdown fix in the release notes.

I have been waiting for this firmware for some time now. Will
proabbly take the risk to install it. I didn't have hughe trouble with
1.13 but one computer can not use the dns relay. I also note
that the router reboots now and then. Uptime seldom more
than a few days.

Looking at changes.txt it is dated 20:th of July
so this is probably pretty old stuff. Let's hope there is
a version coming in sync with the American.

It is only because your chklst shows more channels for WLAN1
and "Use non DFS channel only: Disabled"

nicceg, does your router still reboot/lockup with the 1.20EU firmware?

For the moment 1 day and 9 hours uptime. So far no bigger problems.

I can't install this firmware... always same error:

How can i install this firmware?

Thanks ;)

I can confirm the WAN lockup/freeze issues still exist with the 1.20EUb02 firmware. So unfortunately it is not up par with the 1.21NAb07 release.

I can personally say that running the 1.21B07 doesn't solve them for me either.
