Error saving configuration
« on: January 12, 2010, 05:41:45 AM »

We have 2 offices, and in each office we have on DFL-800, one office in Sweden and on in Estonia. Now i want to open one of the DFL-800 to external administration.
Ive tried to configure our DFL-800, and it works perfectly. However, when my colleague in Estonia do the exact same configuration in their DFL-800 it wont work, the log file shows no dropped packages in port 443 and i get no response when i try to connect.
The same thing happens when we try to configure SSH, it just times out.

When he saves the configuration however, (save and activate) this message pops up:
Code: [Select]
Warning W4440/IFACES in "wan1.Ethernet":
  - Broadcast IP cannot be equal to the interface IP
wan1 PBR main MTU 1500 BUILTIN { DRIVER "r8139" TYPE "PCI" BUS 0 SLOT 2 PORT 0 MEDIA "Auto" DUPLEX "Auto" RECVMCAST Aut
License file successfully loaded.

I dont really know what that means, but "Broadcast" brings my mind to DHCP-server. Their DFL-800 is configured not to use DHCP-server(they have a win2k3 server for that), and has no DHCP-ip range.

Where should i(we) start troubleshooting?

There WAN interface was defined wrong and is not being brought up.  Ensure that their settings (particularly network definition) for their WAN interface is correct.

Your right, he had not configured it correctly.
Now everything works, even got LAN - LAN IPSec connection to work, using the guide found on dlink support page :)

Thanks!
