Dec. 14, 2011:
Just updated with the D-Link Driver (DWA652_Drivers_160.zip). Works great under Win-7.
Original Post:
I have been using the Atheros v. 8.0.0.238 (Windows 7) driver released 10/05/09 on a Lenovo X-60 notebook; I have also ordered a second DWA 652 to run on a Dell Latitude-D-630. This connects to a Linksys WRT-310N v.2 wireless router, in Mixed g/n mode.
All is currently working well (although it is spotty at times), and speeds often drop to 130 mps (300 mps within close range). Of several adapters I experimented with on these notebooks (Belkin, Linksys, Intel), this one has been the best.
Two questions:
1) Over the last month, I have contacted D-Link for an updated Win 7 driver and have been advised several times it will be ready in a few days; any updates as to when?
2) I have a Linksys WRE54G (v.3) range expander used when I was running in G mode. Can/should this still be used, or will it interfere with the N mode transmissions (I am also posting this same question with Linksys/Cisco)?
