Firmware uprgade failed - camera is dead ("bricked")
« on: January 25, 2010, 01:25:54 AM »

I have a bricked/dead dcs-2121. The red light in front will light up for a few seconds, then turn off and turn on again after about half a second.

The camera can be seen on the network for about 0,5 second once per "cycle" as mentioned above. It's directly connected to a Vista-PC with a Cat5-cable.

And also, resetting the camera is not possible.

Does your PC have a static IP Address?

Yes, I set the IP to static. Tried dynamic as well, though. :)

Try a hard reset on it if it still seems to fail to work I would recommend contacting technical support.

I've tried hard reset several times, no luck! Is there any point in trying to use tftp to upload firmware?
