certain sites not connecting on either computer
« on: February 06, 2010, 09:32:14 AM »

hi i have the DIR-615 d-link router and i am having problems connecting to certain sites and yet i am able to connect to others fine but the same sites are blocked on both computers i can't work it out.

any suggestions?

I've tried:
Reseting router,
reseting DCHP,
i've also pinged google that works but pinged these sites and connection fails on all packets yet i can connect via a proxy but that is slow and is filled with adds

i'm starting to get desperate please help me the isp says that the problem may be with the router settings but as it is a secondary product they can't help me

You could try to connect your PC directly to modem. If everything is working the problem really is the router. If the problem remains it is most like your ISP.

If the router is the problem, check the firewall rules, access control and website filtering to make sure non of those blocks the access to the sites.
