Will not happen. The router OS is not OpenSource and encrypted. Config file in text format will void this.
That makes almost zero sense. Config files are simply all your personal settings such as IP address, open ports, forwarding, SSID name, etc. A config file should have no bearing on a closed-source project.

Config files will allow you more access to internal settings. It is not a plain text file anymore. That was 10 years ago. And since closed source does not want anyone to meddle with the settings other than through  GUI this will ensure that reversed engineering is also impossible.
