Access 1522 when not physically plugged into it?
« on: October 09, 2009, 01:15:07 PM »

I am trying to access the settings for the DAP1522 by my laptop that is connected wirelessly to my DIR825 router. I type in DLINKAP in the browser but it doesn't find it. Do I HAVE to physically connect to the 1522 to see the settings?

I have to connect directly to my 1522 to get the DLINKAP URL to work.

I just always use the IP of the device to access it.  Works everytime for me from any of the computers on my network, wireless or wired.

make sure the computer your using to access the 1522 has its IP set to 192.168.0.12 or anything between 2 & 49

You have to have WINS and/or DNS configured on your network in order to access your device using a name.  Otherwise, just use the IP address.

I have this same problem.  I cannot access DAP-1522 or any of the computers attached to it unless I am physically plugged in to the 1522 or my router.

All of my computer IP address are between 192.168.0.10 and 192.168.0.49.

Is there a fix for this?

Thanks.
