I switched to D-Link after having huge issues with my Linksys routers. I'm not sure I'm ready to go back to Linksys as it was just that bad (slow, low signal strength, horrid features, etc.)
Of course, D-Link isn't shaping up to be that much better, however, at least the signal strength is pretty good and the speed issues I was having earlier seem to have mostly gone away (only need to reboot once or twice a month instead of four or five times a day). I'll be keeping my eye out for new routers though.
As it stands I will not be buying any routers from Linksys (and, thus Cisco), D-Link or Belkin. Why is it that consumer routers all seem to be made from the same giant pile of shyte?
I know NetGear makes decent enterprise level stuff (though I did once have a switch that just died on me for no apparent reason), so I might go with them. But then again so did Cisco (not sure what their current reputation is), then they bought Linksys and both went to pot.
