Wireless disconnects during large network file transfer
« on: March 12, 2010, 08:08:02 AM »

Firmware Version: 1.33NA
Hardware Version: A2

802.11 Mode :   802.11g only
Channel Width : 20MHz
Channel : 9
WISH : Active

Security Mode :   WPA Personal
WPA Mode : Auto
Cipher Type : TKIP and AES
Group Key Update Interval : 3600 (seconds)

Windows XP SP3

I am transferring several hundred GB of files from a PC wired into the DIR-655 to a wireless PC. The transfer rate is fine, but after a while, the entire wireless network shuts down.

Yesterday, over 60 GB was transferred before it went kaput. The router doesn't shut down completely, just the wireless. I am able to use the internet and interface with the DIR-655 with the wired PC, but all other PCs on the wireless network disconnect. I have to restart the DIR-655 to get the wireless working again.

Are there some settings I should change to ensure that the wireless shutdown does not happen again?

Thanks!
