DST changes pooched my router
« on: March 14, 2010, 07:45:50 PM »

Hi,

Well...what a pain tonite....  I went in to my router (DIR-655 A2 1.33FW) to simply adjust the Daylight Savings Time settings......no biggie right ???

Holy smokes....That simple change put the router into superduper brain fart mode.... constant (repetitive)reboots city.....

Bad times city here...  I got it resolved by hard resetting the router and had to re-enter all my settings by hand.... Wasn't able to try to re-load saved settings because I didn't bother to save them after I had upgraded to 1.33FW....maybe my bad....  I'll save a settings now just in case...

But man did this blow bubbles....

Yes, other people are having the same problem and are all looking for a solution.  Take a look at this thread:

This seems to be one issue that isn't plaguing my router.  I have the automatic time configuration enabled:  Enable NTP checked, server: ntp1.dlink.com.

Hi,

I also had the NTP setting set....  It was working fine until I tried to check the Daylight Savings Time checkbox....  Then it went all to poochy !!
