How to get more range out of Dir 655 and DWA 552 combo

I need to get just a bit more range out of this combo. I can get a connection, but it frequently drops. I have already done everything I possibly can to get the router as close to the computer, but I can't get them any closer. Is there an extra antenna(s) that I can add to either the router or the wireless card? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does this antenna help you? I disconnected mine, and my signal is the same.

I use on kid's computer that is in far corner of the house.  Works very good for me, as the computer itself is down underneath a desk and the cards antenna were right against a wall.  With the extenstion I was able to put it up higher and get a much better signal.
