Can the 825-A be forced to downgrade to 1.01?
« on: December 30, 2009, 03:51:10 AM »

I have been the victim of the 1.12NA malware like many of the people here, and I have been wondering if there is any way that the unit may be flashed to the 1.01 f/w despite D-Link's efforts to prevent it.  Is there another flashing method like FTPing into the router, or perhaps using a hex editor to change version numbers (like making the 1.01 f/w say its 1.13)?

Any ideas on how to make this happen?

Did you know you can now downgrade your D-Link DIR-825 H/W Ver:A1 firmware to 1.01.

ROLL BACK D-LINK DIR-825 FIRMWARE TO 1.01 (Fix Here)

For VER:A1 this seems to be the best functioning F/W at this time.
